PaulMcFly | Why is it people are into astrology more than others? Why do certain people believe in it and others blow it off? |
curiouspisces89 | My astrologer told me that I have an interest in astrology and I will be very good at it( I only just started learning) because I have Mercury in my 8th house in Aquarious. It's my only planet in this house and in the air sign. Don't know about any other planets or aspects but I am curious to know! |
Soltze | Uranus in the 10th 8th house Planets Outer planet enphasis in the chart.... |
Meatballzzzzzz | I think it has to do with Uranus. For me, it's conjunct my Sun. |
goddessinworld | ^I think you are right, I also have sun conjunct Uranus. on top of that I have Uranus in Aquarius. |
PaulMcFly | Yeah I think you're all right. Says Aquarius is the strongest sign in my chart haha |

bananaz | I liked it when I was young. Felt a connection to sun sign personalities probably more than most because I have 3 other planets in the same sign, but the fascination ended there. Then something strange happened. Something only astrology can explain! The EXACT moment Neptune conjuncted my Sun (literally to the exact degree) I learned what a birth chart was and that astrology doesn't end with your sun sign. I've been obsessed ever since. Neptune rules hidden/ occult knowledge. Thanks, Neptune |
TensionEmpire | I think the Element Water has a lot to do with it also, feeling it'n stuff |

This is EXACTLY what happened to me. I'm not sure if it was a specific transit that caused it or not when I first started learning astrology. But the reason I wanted to explore Astrology on a deeper level is because I was able to relate to my sun sign so well. I have a lot of planets in the same sign as my Sun. And my Sun & Moon are the same, so I was basically a double-dose. I actually started getting into Astrology deeply when Uranus started transiting through my 3rd house. Third house also rules knowledge & the mind, and Uranus there by transit would make a person want to explore hidden subjects or the occult. Some of the things in my natal chart I think that contributes to me keeping tabs on Astrology:
- Sun & Moon square Neptune - Mercury Trine Uranus - Mercury Sextile Pluto - Jupiter in the 12th - Midheaven in Scorpio/Pluto in 10th - My 9th house stellium |
Faith | I was about five years old the first time I heard of astrology...someone told me I'm a Capricorn and explained it. I've never NOT believed in it, since that first exposure to the idea. I've seen a lot of second decan Capricorns interested in astrology. Maybe because it's the Venus decan, and much of astrology has to do with love matches. I have Aquarius Mercury in a t-square with Uranus and Saturn. Asteroid 30 URANIA is exactly conjunct my Saturn which is in my 12H, ruling my sun. quote: In Greek Mythology Urania was one of the nine Muses, the eldest daughter of Zeus and Mnemosyne. Urania was the goddess of astronomy which was the same then as astrology. She is also associated with Universal Love and the Holy Spirit.

theunknown | I know several Capricorn and in my generation, their sun conjunct Uranus. It's interesting to say the ones without Pluto contact don't believe in astrology or care about it. So my guess is Pluto and 8th as they pertain to hidden knowledge. Sag and Gem are open to astrology too mostly because they are seekers of knowledge and init overly grounded by facts like Virgo. My Virgo mother has her sun conjunct Uranus and she's not into astrology either even though my family knew a very good astrologer (a school teacher who studied on his own time and offer services for free for others). Among Pluto hard aspects ppl, I find Aqua moon to be least likely to delve into astrology. Watery ppl seem to believe it more. I also don't think libras are easily swayed into believing either.

NYCdodger | I believe it has to do more with your soul evolution than with the signs |
Aquacheeka | Being a Pisces or Scorpio sun sign, having lots of Aqua or Uranus energy. Sagittarians tend to not believe. |

I have to disagree about Sagittarians as i think they are quite curious people so they wouldn't dismiss astrology without looking into it!

My hubby is a Sag and he "says" it's full of crap, but I notice he listens veeeeery closely when I start predicting stuff lol |

Interesting! I have some similar ones and some of the same. I think the most powerful for me is Neptune trine Pluto and Neptune conj my Midheaven. |
bansheequeen | I think being a part of the pluto in scorpio generation might ahve something to do with it. |

Hahha exactly! My boyfriend is Sagittarius and he is the same. He doesn't ever say if he believes or not, but I noticed that whenever I say something that is true but I couldn't have possibly known that except through astrology he becomes curious and wants to hear more lol |
Gladspeelbkearns | It's interesting to note someone mentioning Uranus transitting the 3rd house. I'm not sure how significant this is, but I have Uranus in the 3rd natally-and it's part of a Yod also involving 10th House Mars in Cancer and 5th House Jupiter in Aquarius (the orb is less than 1 deg between all these aspects)-and my Sun is 4 degrees away from my Mars, so you could also include the Sun if you allow a 4 degree Orb. Also, my Uranus is the Apex planet of a second yod involving Mars in the 10th and my NN in the 8th-though admittedly the Orb is 2 degrees for that one.I first became mildly interested in astrology around the time Pluto was conj my Neptune (which is on the 4th house cusp), though I was still a sceptic at that point. On the very day I started looking deeper into the subject however, Prog Sun and Prog Moon were exactly opposed to one another. ------------------ The world is just, a great big onion... And hate & fear are the spices that make it fly. |
